Hermann Frank (doctor)

Hermann Frank (born February 26, 1858 in Pleschen , Province of Posen ; † October 1, 1942 in Berlin ) was a German surgeon , non-fiction author and publicist .

Life and work

Hermann Frank studied in Würzburg , Strasbourg , Leipzig and Berlin . After receiving his doctorate , he was an assistant in the internal department of the Berlin-Moabit City Hospital under Paul Guttmann from 1882 to 1883 .

From 1884 to 1888 he worked as an assistant under Ernst Hahn in the surgical department of the Friedrichshain Municipal Hospital in Berlin. From 1889 he worked as a surgeon in Berlin.

From 1893 to 1895 he was the editor of the Berlin Clinic in Berlin. From 1898 he was head of the press office for the German surgeons and a permanent speaker for several magazines.

Frank, after the " seizure of power " Hitler was "humiliated and deprived of their rights", committed suicide in 1942 on October 1 suicide .
