Pleszew (German Pleschen ) is a city in Poland in the eastern part of the Polish Greater Poland Voivodeship . Pleszew is the seat of the Powiat Pleszewski and the urban and rural municipality Pleszew.

Pleszew is located on the Kluczbork – Poznań railway line (stops Bronów, Taczanów and Pleszew), and there used to be the Krotoschin – Pleschen district railway , which today (as of 2015) is still operated in the summer from Pleszew station to the city station (Pleszew Miasto).
