Hermann Hans von Vaerst

Hermann Hans Baron von Vaerst (born November 15, 1798 - † July 22, 1877 in Gotha ) was an officer and member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation .

Life

Hermann Hans von Vaerst was trained in the Herrnhuter-Anstalt Gnadenfeld , became a soldier at the age of 14 and took part in the Wars of Liberation from 1813 to 1815. He received the Iron Cross and was passed as a major in 1840. Afterwards he was the owner of the manor in Herrndorf bei Soldin and after the sale of the estate he was a pensioner in Berlin.

From 1862 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and from 1862 to 1866 advisor for the military budget. In 1867 he was a member of the constituent Reichstag of the North German Confederation for the constituency Frankfurt 2 ( Landsberg / Warthe , Soldin ) and the National Liberal Party .
