The Bistum Kavieng ( lat. : Dioecesis Kaviengensis ) is in Papua New Guinea preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Kavieng . It is located in the Sandaun Province in the northwestern part of Papua New Guinea.

history

Pope Pius XII founded with the Apostolic Constitution Cum apostolicum on July 5, 1957 the Apostolic Vicariate Kavieng from ceded territory of the Apostolic Vicariate Rabaul .

On November 15, 1966 she was raised to the diocese of Daru with the Apostolic Constitution Laeta Incrementa .
