The Bistum Vanimo ( latin Dioecesis Uanimitana ) is in Papua New Guinea preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Vanimo .

history

Pope Paul VI founded the Apostolic Prefecture Vanimo with the Apostolic Constitution Omnium Ecclesiarum on September 13, 1963 from cessions of territory of the Apostolic Vicariate Aitape .

With the Apostolic Constitution Laeta Incrementa she was raised to the diocese on November 15, 1966.
