Hermann Klemeyer

Hermann Klemeyer (born February 10, 1943 in Bad Gandersheim ; died December 3, 2012 in Ingenried ) was a German flautist and music teacher .

Life

Klemeyer studied at the universities in Freiburg with Aurèle Nicolet and in Berlin with Fritz Demmler . After completing his training, he was solo flutist in the Berlin Symphony Orchestra , from 1968 to 1976 in the same position with the Philharmonic State Orchestra Bremen and later with the Bavarian State Orchestra Munich .

He taught in Bremen, Munich and at the University of Music in Würzburg , where he received a professorship in 1994. From 2004 to 2011 he was Vice President of the Würzburg University of Music.
