Hermann Latzel

Hermann Latzel (born January 10, 1942 in Schwarzwasser ) is a former German long jumper .

In 1966 he was sixth at the European Indoor Games in Dortmund and at the European Athletics Championships in Budapest .

At the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1970 in Vienna, he was fourth.

In 1966 and 1968 he was German champion. In 1970 he won the national title indoors and was runner-up in 1966 and 1967. At the German Indoor Championships in 1971, amphetamines were found in Latzel's urine; he was banned from the German Athletics Association for doping and the title and place were revoked.

Hermann Latzel started for the OSC Dortmund and from 1969 to 1971 for the ASV Cologne .
