Hermann Otto Persiehl (born January 21, 1859 in Hamburg ; † May 2, 1927 ) was a German entrepreneur, politician and member of the Hamburg parliament.

Life

Persiehl spent his school days in Hamburg. He then did an apprenticeship in the book trade at various stations and worked for various publishing houses, most recently in Leipzig at Otto Spamer's publishing house . When his father of the same name died in January 1882, he had to take over his father's book printing company HO Persiehl in Hamburg. Persiehl successfully continued this business and was able to expand the business considerably through acquisitions. While the company had 18 employees at the time of its takeover, in 1900 it already had 200 employees. The company HO Persiehl still exists.

From 1895 to 1919 Persiehl belonged to the Hamburg citizenship .
