Hermann Stopperich
Hermann Friedrich Stopperich (born December 21, 1895 in Dahlhausen , Ruhr, † January 6, 1952 in Wattenscheid ) was a German politician of the SPD .
After attending primary school, Stopperich worked in industry and agriculture before joining the army in 1913. He was a member of the German Metal Workers' Association and a functionary of the USPD and later the SPD and the German Association of Officials .
From 1945 he headed the refugee camp Odertal, later he was administrative chief secretary of the AOK Osterode . Since 1946 Stopperich was a member of the district council in the district of Osterode am Harz .
He was a member of the German Bundestag , in which he represented the Harz constituency as a directly elected member , from the first Bundestag election until his death.
