Hermann Zenz

Hermann-Franz Zenz (born August 22, 1926 in Haag i.OB ; † June 7, 2009 in Schloßberg ) was a German politician ( CSU ). He was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament from the 6th to the 11th legislative period .

Life

Hermann Zenz completed an apprenticeship as a precision mechanic at the Physics Institute of the University of Munich. In 1944 he became a soldier in World War II and was taken prisoner by the Americans in 1945 . From 1948 to 1952 he worked as a technician at the Physics University Institute in Regensburg.

In 1950 he joined the CSU. From 1952 to 1956, the Catholic Zenz was the central secretary of the international Kolping Society . In 1956 he became state youth secretary of the Junge Union in the state association of Rhineland-Palatinate. Later he became district manager for the CSU Upper Bavaria , which he expanded together with Max Streibl to become the CSU district association with the largest number of members. From 1961 to 1994 he was chairman of the Christian Social Workers Union (CSA) in Upper Bavaria and managing director of the CSA in the 1960s.

Hermann Zenz was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament for the electoral district of Munich-Land Süd from 1966 to 1990. From 1966 he was a member of the Committee for Social Policy Affairs, later also a member of the Committee for State Budget and Financial Matters, the Council of Elders and a deputy member of the Board of Trustees of the Bavarian State Foundation. He was a member of the Federal Assembly .

Zenz was married and lived in Stephanskirchen , where he died in June 2009 at the age of 82.
