Hermann von Bocholtz-Asseburg

Hermann Werner Graf von Bocholtz-Asseburg (born September 24, 1770 in Paderborn , † October 8, 1849 in Hinnenburg ) was a German manor owner and member of parliament.

Life

Hermann von Bocholtz-Asseburg, who was a Catholic denomination, was the great-grandson of Hermann Werner von der Asseburg . His daughter Maria Therese married Theodor Werner von Bocholtz . Hermann von Bocholtz-Asseburg was their second son Hermann Werner. He was raised to the rank of count in 1803. Since the grandfather had died without sons, he called himself Count von Bocholtz-Asseburg as heir . There is a portrait of him that Anton Joseph Stratmann painted. His sons were Diederich von Bocholtz-Asseburg and Johannes Bernhard von Bocholtz-Asseburg (1833–1849).

Hermann von Bocholtz-Asseburg was the kk chamberlain and canon in Münster. Elected to the curia of manor owners in the Paderborn electoral district, he was a member of the provincial parliament of the province of Westphalia from 1826 to 1831 .
