Hermann von Rotteck (lawyer)

Hermann von Rotteck (born November 23, 1845 in Kirchen , † July 16, 1919 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a Baden senior bailiff and an administrative judge.

life and work

Hermann von Rotteck attended the Lyceum in Karlsruhe until 1866. He then studied law in Freiburg and Heidelberg. In 1872 and 1874 he passed the state law exams. From 1872 to 1877 he worked as a legal intern, trainee lawyer and secretary in various departments. In 1877 he became a bailiff at the district office in Lörrach and in 1882 he became an official at the district office in Pfullendorf . In 1884 he was promoted to senior bailiff . From 1886 to 1890 he headed the Triberg District Office and from 1890 to 1896 the Bühl District Office . In 1896 he was appointed a secret councilor. In 1897 he became a collegiate member of the Administrative Court, in 1899 a deputy member of the Chamber of Accounts and in 1902 an administrative judge.

Honors

  • In 1891 Hermann von Rotteck was awarded the Knight's Cross 1st Class of the Order of the Zähringer Lion .
