Hermann von Vahl

Hermann von Vahl (born April 21, 1826 in Greifswald ; † April 12, 1892 there ) was a lawyer and member of the Reichstag .

Live and act

Hermann von Vahl was a son of the Greifswald merchant Carl von Vahl († 1843), son of Balzer Peter von Vahl , and Louisa Siebmann. Vahl studied law at the universities in Greifswald and Berlin . In 1847 he became a member of the Corps Pomerania Greifswald .

In 1855 he became an assessor , from 1863 he was a district judge in Greifswald. In 1865 he became a lawyer . He also worked as a notary.

From 1872 to 1873 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives . From 1876 to 1889 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Pomerania . From 1874 he represented the constituency Stralsund 2 (Greifswald, Grimmen) for the National Liberal Party in the Reichstag . From 1878 to 1881 he was on the board of the National Liberals.

Hermann von Vahl was married to Clara Weißenborn (1840–1881) and had three daughters.
