Hernán Alzamora

Hernán Alzamora ( Hernán Alzamora García; born April 12, 1927 , † February 19, 2018 in Lima ) was a Peruvian hurdler and decathlete .

In 1947/48 he won the Juegos Bolivarianos over 110 m hurdles . At the Olympic Games in London in 1948 , he was eliminated in the same discipline in the preliminary stages.

In 1951 he won silver in the decathlon at the Pan American Games in Buenos Aires and silver over 110 m hurdles and in the pentathlon at the Juegos Bolivarianos. He also won silver in the decathlon of the 1952 South American Athletics Championships in Buenos Aires.

He set his personal best of 14.8 s over 110 m hurdles in 1948.
