Hideaki Mochizuki
Hideaki Mochizuki ( Japanese 望月 英明 , Mochizuki Hideaki ; * August 1948 ) is a Japanese jazz musician ( double bass ).
Hideaki Mochizuki worked in the Tokyo jazz scene from the early 1970s, a. a. with Kohsuke Mine (with whose quintet the album Expectations was created in 1973 ), furthermore with Yosuke Yamashita , Akira Sakata and Toshinori Kondō in the Jam Rice Sextet , with Shigeharu Mukai , Ryōjirō Furusawa , Akira Sakata, Takeo Moriyama , Fumio Itabashi , Tatsuya Nakamura and Keize Inoue . In the following two decades he also worked on recordings by Tomoki Takahashi / Elvin Jones , Yoriyuki Harada (Miu) , Takeo Moriyama (East Plants) , Kōichi Matsukaze , Shigeo Maruyama , Kurumi Shimizu and Itaru Oki ( Concert with Strings , 1998). In the field of jazz he was involved in 29 recording sessions from 1973 to 1998, most recently on Yosuke Yamashita's album Dr. Kanzo ( Verve , 1998).
