Higashiyama (Tennō)
Higashiyama ( Japanese 東山 天皇 , Higashiyama-tennō ; * October 21, 1675 , † January 16, 1710 ) was the 113th Tennō of Japan in the Edo period .
He held the throne from 1687 to 1709. During his reign, the abdicated Tennō Reigen , who lived longer than Higashiyama, actually had imperial power from his monastery. But the real political power in Japan was the Tokugawa - shoguns in Edo .
The Nakamikado- tennō was the son of Higashiyama.
