Hilarius Emonds

Hilarius Emonds OSB (born February 17, 1905 in Jülich as Anton Emonds ; † June 9, 1958 ) was a liturgical scholar .

Life

He entered Maria Laach Abbey in 1924 . He studied in Maria Laach, Beuron , Salzburg and from 1931 to 1937 in Bonn . During the Second World War he was a medic in the Air Force in Hungary, Galicia, Ukraine and Central Germany. After Odo Casel's death , he published the Liturgical Science Yearbook. In 1951 he became a member of the Bavarian Benedictine Academy .
