Hilde Haider-Pregler
Hilde Haider , b. Pregler, called Hilde Haider-Pregler (born September 4, 1941 in Vienna ) is a retired Austrian theater scholar and university professor at the Institute for Theater, Film and Media Studies at the University of Vienna .
Career
Haider-Pregler completed a degree in theater studies , German , Romance studies and philosophy at the University of Vienna and graduated with a study on "The history of German-language theater in Märisch-Ostrau from the beginnings to 1944" (doctorate sub auspiciis 1966).
In 1978 she qualified as a professor in theater studies and was professor at the Institute for Theater Studies from 1987 until her retirement. From 1998 to 1999 she was head of the institute and from 2000 to 2004 she was vice dean of the faculty for human and social sciences at the University of Vienna.
