Hildegard Förster-Heldmann (born April 4, 1958 in Herdorf ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). She has been a member of the Hessian state parliament since October 17, 2017 , in which she will represent the constituency of Darmstadt-Stadt I as a constituency member from 2019 .

Origin and studies

Förster-Heldmann first learned the profession of interior decorator and then completed a degree in interior design .

In 2001 she joined Alliance 90 / The Greens and has been a member of the state executive since 2009. In addition, she has been the spokesperson for the district association since 2009.

She has been a city councilor in Darmstadt since 2001 , was deputy chairwoman of the parliamentary group from 2006–2011 and chairwoman of the city councilor's parliamentary group in Darmstadt from 2011 to 2019.

As a city councilor from Darmstadt, she sits on the supervisory boards of Bauverein AG , Darmstadtium and Entega .

In 2013 she ran for the Hessian state parliament and in the constituency of Darmstadt-Stadt I at number 17 on the list . This was not enough for entry into the state parliament. Förster-Heldmann moved up for Tarek Al-Wazir on October 17, 2017 . She became the spokeswoman for poverty reduction and demography in the parliamentary group. Law, Seniors and Housing. She also became a member of the Legal and Social Committee. She is geographically responsible for Darmstadt and Offenbach am Main .

Förster-Heldmann won the constituency mandate in the state elections in Hesse in 2018 in the constituency of Darmstadt-Stadt I with 31.2 percent of the constituency votes. She is the deputy chairwoman of the parliamentary group.

Private

Hildegard Förster-Heldmann lives in Darmstadt. She is married and has two grown children.
