Hildigund Neubert
Hildigund Neubert , née Falcke (* 1960 in Quedlinburg ) was a member of the GDR opposition and a politician ( CDU ). From 2003 to 2013 she was State Commissioner of the Free State of Thuringia for the records of the State Security Service of the GDR .
Live and act
Neubert comes from a Protestant rectory and is the daughter of Almuth and Heino Falcke . She attended the extended secondary school and, after graduating from high school in 1979, began studying singing at the "Franz Liszt" music academy in Weimar . Here she met her husband Ehrhart Neubert , who was a student pastor there. From 1984 to 1987 she sang in the choir of the Weimar National Theater .
The musician, who is also the mother of four adult children, was involved in the peace group of the Protestant student community in Weimar and in the so-called council process .
During the political change in 1989, Neubert was one of the founders of the Democratic Awakening , from which she withdrew in January 1990. In 1996 she joined the CDU .
From 1997 to 2003, Neubert worked for the Bürgerbüro eV to deal with consequential damage caused by the SED dictatorship . From 2003 to October 2013 she was the state representative for the Stasi files in Thuringia.
"One of Hildigund Neubert's first official tasks was the federal congress of the state commissioners for the Stasi documents with the victims 'associations, which took place for the second time in Thuringia (in Jena) in 2004 under the title' On the Value of Freedom ', as well as the promotion of the ongoing legislative initiatives for a' Victim pension 'for political prisoners of the SED regime. "
Another term of office was not legally possible. At the adoption, the President of the State Parliament, Birgit Diezel, emphasized : It was Neubert's merit that Thuringia was the first federal state to implement the pension for victims of the SED regime . She also insisted on setting up a compensation fund for victims of the GDR children's and youth home system.
In 2006 Hildigund Neubert received the Federal Cross of Merit .
Neubert has been a member of the board of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and its vice-president since 2011 .
From November 2013 to December 2014, Neubert was State Secretary in the Thuringian State Chancellery , responsible for European affairs. From 2013 to 2014 she was number one on the CDU Thuringia's list of successors for the Bundestag .
