Hilla Jablonsky

Hilla Jablonsky (born September 17, 1922 in Dudweiler ; † August 5, 2019 in Leer ) was a German painter , draftsman and poet .

Life

Hilla Jablonsky grew up in Schleswig-Holstein . In the post-war period she wanted to train at the art college, but the few places were not given to women , but to the men returning home.

Hilla Jablonsky was trained in Plön in the 1950s by Alexej von Assaulenko , a graduate of the Leningrad School. In the 1960s she studied abstract expressionism with Cameron Hoover during a workshop training in Bremerhaven and took lessons on magical realism with Franz Radziwill in Dangast . She completed her training with studies with Albert Paris Gütersloh .

Hilla Jablonsky first exhibited her paintings in a gallery in the mid-1960s. Since 1968 she worked as a freelance artist. As a painter she is assigned to the German Informel . She exhibited her paintings in numerous exhibitions inside and outside Germany and published her books and poems in well-known publishers. She lived and worked in Sankt Augustin near Bonn.

Appreciation

In 1989 Hilla Jablonsky and Edith Oellers-Teuber received the € 5,000 GEDOK Art Prize, which was donated as the “ Dr. Theobald Simon Prize ” in 1988 by the Bonn art lover and patron Gabriele Vossebein in memory of her father. In 1999 she received the August Macke Medal .
