Heinrich Hinsch
Heinrich Hinsch , also Hinrich Hinsch or Heinrich Hintz , (* 1650 ; † May 5, 1712 in Hamburg ) was a German lawyer and librettist .
Life
Heinrich Hinsch was one of the most productive librettists at Hamburg's " Oper am Gänsemarkt ". Little is known about his life. Hinsch probably came from Stade and was possibly also born there. He studied theology , then devoted himself but the jurisprudence . It is not known where Hinsch studied. At the University of Rostock two matriculations would come into question: in June 1672 under the name Henricus Hintze and on April 30, 1674 under the name Henricus Hinze. Stade was given as the place of origin. After Hinsch obtained his doctorate in law (where again is unknown), he settled as a lawyer in Hamburg.
