Hinrich Holsten

Hinrich Holsten (born January 29, 1902 in Bötersen , Rotenburg district, † August 9, 1970 in Rotenburg (Wümme) ) was a German politician ( CDU ) and member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

Holsten attended the middle school in Rotenburg, the upper secondary school in Bremen and then the higher agricultural school in Hildesheim . In 1928 he took over his father's business. From 1944 to 1945 he was called up for military service in the army. He served on the boards of agricultural cooperatives for several years. This included membership in the general committee of the German Farmers' Association and the chairmanship of the German Potato Union in Bonn. He was also chairman of the working group of the herdbook societies in Lower Saxony, chairman of the sales association of Hanoverian breeders' associations in Lehrte and chairman of the Rotenburg district association of the Lower Saxony rural people. Hinrich Holsten died on August 9, 1970 in Rotenburg / Wümme.

Holsten was a member of the appointed Lower Saxony State Parliament from December 9, 1946 to March 28, 1947 and then a member of the Lower Saxony State Parliament from the first to the fifth electoral period from April 20, 1947 to June 5, 1967. From March 28, 1951 to May 5, 1959 he belongs to the DP / CDU parliamentary group.
