The Hippolyte Point ( French Cap Hippolyte ) is a headland that the northeastern end of Lion Iceland in the Palmer Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula forms. It is located immediately east of Anvers Island and forms the southern boundary of the northern entrance to Lion Sound .
Participants in the Belgica expedition (1897-1899) of the Belgian polar explorer Adrien de Gerlache de Gomery mapped and named them. It is named after Hippolyte d'Ursel (1850–1937), President of the Société Royale Belge de Géographie and supporter of the research trip. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names converted the French name into English in 1953.
