Hjulby Sogn (until October 1, 2010: Hjulby Kirkedistrikt ( German: church district ) in Nyborg Sogn ) is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in southern Denmark . Until October 1, 2010 it was only a church district in Nyborg Sogn. When all church districts in Denmark were dissolved on this date, it became an independent Sogn.

Of the 395 inhabitants of Hjulby, 211 live in the parish of the same name (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Hjulby Kirke".

history

Until 1970 Nyborg Sogn belonged to Harde Vindinge Herred in what was then Svendborg Office , then to Nyborg Municipality in Fyns Office , which was merged into the "new" Nyborg municipality in the Syddanmark region on January 1, 2007 as part of the local government reform .
