Hofreuth is a district of the Egglham municipality in the Rottal-Inn district in Lower Bavaria .

history

The settlement is about one kilometer east of Egglham. Around the year 1000, two large Maierhöfe in Hofreuth are listed as possessions of the Counts of Neuburg and Bornbach.
The Bavarian original cadastre shows Hofreuth in the 1810s as a hamlet with eight hearths.

A farmhouse from the 18th century has been preserved as a monument .
