The Holgate Glacier is an approximately 8 km long glacier fed by the Harding Icefield on the east coast of the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska .
The glacier is located 35 km southwest of Seward in the Kenai Fjords National Park . The 1.5 km wide Holgate Glacier flows into the Holgate Arm , a side bay of Aialik Bay .
The glacier was named after Thomas F. Holgate (1859–1945), who was president of Northwestern University from 1904–1906 and 1916–1919 .
