Holger Bingmann

Holger Bingmann (born July 8, 1961 in Stuttgart ) is a German entrepreneur. He has been President of the National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce since June 2020 and was President of the Federal Association of Wholesale, Foreign Trade, Services (BGA) from September 2017 to June 2020 .

Career

Bingmann grew up in Stuttgart . After high school and military service, he studied business administration at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . Since that time he has been interested in the cultural change in companies: He completed his doctorate in economics at the Free University of Berlin on the subject of “People-Politics-Culture. Influences on the technical development at Daimler-Benz ”.

After stints at Daimler-Benz in Brussels and as managing partner of the Süddeutsche Zeitungszentrale in Stuttgart, Bingmann acquired shares in the press distributor Hermann Trunk, which was founded in Munich in 1945, at the age of 39. From press sales he developed the MELO group of companies together with shareholders and managing directors . Around 2000 people work internationally for the entire group, of which Bingmann was Chairman until January 2020. In September 2017, Bingmann was elected to succeed Anton F. Börner as President of the Federal Association of Wholesale, Foreign Trade and Services (BGA). He held the office until June 2020. In June, Bingmann was elected President of the National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce .

He is married, has four children and lives on Lake Starnberg .
