Holger Runge

Holger Runge (born April 14, 1925 in Weimar ) is a German artist .

In 1946 he began to study art in Weimar, which he later continued at the Düsseldorf Art Academy as a student of Otto Coester . He worked as a lecturer at the art academy and the workshop for teachers in Düsseldorf. In 1964 he founded the " Etching Community Osterath " together with Joseph Beuys , Hans van der Grinten , Franz Joseph van der Grinten , Martel Wiegand , Gottfried Wiegand , Erwin Heerich , Rolf Crummenauer , André Thomkins and Franz Eggenschwiler . From 1976 he concentrated on free artistic work. Many of his works are exhibited in the Museum Schloss Moyland .

Holger Runge has lived in Meerbusch-Osterath since 1960 .
