Holger Timm

Holger Timm (born March 17, 1957 in Wittenberge ) is a German entrepreneur . He is the chairman of the board and the main founder of the Berliner Effektengesellschaft .

Holger Timm grew up in the Hanover region . He and his family lived in Bad Salzdetfurth , Empelde (suburb of Hanover), Hanover and Arpke . His father was a director of the mining company K + S . He was transferred every four to five years, which resulted in frequent changes of residence.

After graduating from high school , he moved to Berlin, where he studied law at the Free University of Berlin . Although he finished his law degree, he decided to pursue a different professional career and began to be interested in stock trading at the Berlin Stock Exchange . At the end of the 1980s he founded the HTB company , and a few years later the "Berliner Effektengesellschaft". This operated a successful stock trading . He then also founded the Berliner Effektenbank , which was renamed Quirin Bank in 2006 .
