from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Holm Keller (* 1967 ) is a German dramaturge , theater scholar and administrative scientist . From 2006 to 2016 he was the full-time Vice President of the Leuphana University of Lüneburg and has been Executive Chairman of the kENUP Foundation since 2015.

Life

Holm Keller has been chairman of the kENUP Foundation, a foundation that promotes innovation in Europe , since 2015 . In cooperation with the European Investment Bank (EIB), the foundation has so far enabled public investments of over € 120 million, mostly in life science companies.

From 2009 to 2015, Keller headed the so-called EU Innovation Incubator Lüneburg, a major project at Leuphana University as part of the European Commission's ERDF funding . The project was recognized in a report by the OECD .

From 2006 to 2016, Keller was Vice President of the Leuphana University of Lüneburg . In 2011 he was confirmed as Vice-President by the Senate , but was only supposed to work part-time at the university in the 2012–2020 term. A Senate newly constituted in 2012 confirmed Holm Keller full-time in May 2012. On January 8, 2016, Holm Keller resigned prematurely in order to devote himself to new professional challenges.

Holm Keller was repeatedly criticized for numerous controversial projects, including from student representatives. The new central building for the university in particular is highly controversial. At times, the Stade public prosecutor's office investigated Holm Keller because the university supposedly awarded the contract for the new building to Daniel Libeskind without a tender and thus violated the award guidelines . However, the investigations were immediately discontinued as there was no evidence of infidelity or subsidy fraud in connection with the new construction of the Leuphana central building.

Holm Keller studied theater studies at the University of Vienna from 1986 to 1992 and was a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation . At the same time he worked as a composer and cultural journalist for various institutions.

From 1993 he was dramaturge for the internationally renowned director Robert Wilson , z. B. Expectation ( Staatsoper Berlin , 2006); The woman without a shadow ( Opéra de Paris Bastille, 2002); Osud ( Narodni Divadlo Prague, 2002); Orphée / Alceste (Châtelet Théâtre Musical de Paris; 1999); Scourge of Hyacinths (Grand Théâtre de Genève, 1999); Ett Drömspel (Stadsteatern Stockholm, 1998); Pelléas et Mélisande (Salzburg Festival, 1997); Prometeo (Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie / Bruxelles, 1997); Pelléas et Mélisande; (Opéra National de Paris Garnier, 1997); Oedipus Rex (Châtelet Théâtre Musical de Paris, 1996); Expectation / Bluebeard's Castle ( Salzburg Festival , 1995); Hanjo / Hagoromo ( Maggio Musicale Fiorentino , 1994) and Madame Butterfly (Opéra de Paris Bastille, 1993).

From 1994 to 1996 he attended the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University , where he took a Master of Public Administration (MPA). He then worked for the management consultancy McKinsey & Company in Vienna, Munich and New York until 2002 . From 2002 to 2006 he worked for Bertelsmann AG , most recently as President Corporate Development Asia in Shanghai.
