Tobias Hombergk, a Hessian councilor and teacher of Landgrave Moritz , was enfeoffed by him on January 9, 1596 with the village of Vach, now Kleinvach . This is how the House of Hombergk zu Vach was founded. His great-grandson Johann Philipp Anton Hombergk zu Vach achieved imperial nobility on June 23, 1718 . On April 25, 1780, Aemilius Ludwig and Wilhelm Friedrich received an imperial confirmation of the imperial nobility to which the family was entitled.
