Friedrich (Fritz) Albert Johann Eduard von Hombergk zu Vach (born March 6, 1857 in Darmstadt ; † October 7, 1935 there ) was an officer , administrative officer and politician in the Grand Duchy of Hesse and Minister of the Interior in the government of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Life

Friedrich von Hombergk zu Vach was the son of captain Friedrich Franz Wilhelm von Hombergk zu Vach (1830–1870), who fell in the Franco-German War and comes from the Hessian family of the same name , and his wife Martha Sophie Klara Hildegard, born Henckel. On November 21, 1889 in Worms, he married Elisabeth Anna Maria Reinhart (* 1868), the daughter of the leather manufacturer and Grand Ducal Hessian commercial councilor Georg Christof Reinhart , and his wife Anna Clara Josepha, née Hundhausen.

Friedrich von Hombergk zu Vach studied law and served in the grand ducal Hessian army and retired as captain of the reserve. He embarked on an administrative career , was Grand Ducal Hessian Chamberlain , 1897–1900 district councilor in the Alzey district , 1900–1808 in the Offenbach district and 1908–1910 provincial director of the Rheinhessen province . From 1910 to the November Revolution of 1918 he was the last Minister of the Interior of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

He was the owner of the Fideikommiss Klein-Vach bei Allendorf adWerra and legal knight of the Order of St. John .
