Wilhelm Maurer (judge)
Wilhelm Ludwig Ferdinand Maurer (born September 14, 1798 in Pirmasens , † July 14, 1876 in Darmstadt ) was a German landowner and politician and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .
Wilhelm Maurer was the son of the church affairs administrator and clerk Johann Ludwig Maurer (1741–1803) and his wife Katharina Sophie Friederike , née Lange (1756–1841). Maurer, who was a Protestant, married Marie Wilhelmine, born Siebert , on November 15, 1824 in Darmstadt .
Maurer studied law and became a government secretary in Darmstadt. In 1822 he became government secretary there. From 1825 to 1832 he was district administrator in the Heppenheim district and from 1832 to 1848 in the Offenbach district . In 1848 he became Ministerialrat in the Ministry of the Interior of the Government of the Grand Duchy of Hesse . From 1853 he was director of the administrative justice and Lehnhof. From 1875 to 1876 he was President of the Darmstadt Administrative Court .
From 1849 to 1850 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 5 / Heppenheim .
