Gideon Dael from Köth-Wanscheid
Gideon Georg Emil Dael von Köth-Wanscheid (born March 8, 1840 in Mainz , † October 29, 1899 in Darmstadt ) was a Hessian landowner and politician ( center ) and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .
Gideon Dael von Köth-Wanscheid was the son of the landowner Friedrich Ludwig Dael von Köth-Wanscheid (1808-1883) and his wife Emilie, née von Faber. On February 25, 1857, the entire family was raised to the Grand Ducal Hessian baron class. Dael von Köth-Wanscheid, who was a Roman Catholic , was a landowner on Sörgenloch and married Josepha, born Freiin Pergler von Perglas (1844–1878) in Heppenheim on August 26, 1871, the daughter of the Grand Ducal Hessian Lieutenant General Karl Freiherr Pergler von Perglas . Their son Gideon Hugo August Ernst Baron Dael von Koeth-Wanscheid (1874–1954) became landowner and major in the Landwehr, their daughter Josefa Baroness von Bodman (1878–1919) married a baron von Bodman in 1905.
Dael von Köth-Wanscheid studied law and was awarded a Dr. jur. PhD. He became a regional judge and later a syndic of the Raiffeisen loan office. He was president of the Hessian farmers' association.
From 1893 to 1899 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 8 / Lorsch / Heppenheim .
