Edmund Bläss

Edmund Bläss (also: Bless and Bläß) (born September 7, 1769 in Edingen ; † December 15, 1844 in Viernheim ) was a Hessian politician , mayor in Viernheim and a former member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Family and work

Edmund Bläss was the son of the mayor Georg Bläss and his wife Anna Barbara nee Regenauer. On June 7, 1795, Edmund Bläss married Cäcilie, née Winckler, the daughter of the Viernheim mayor Georg Winckler. From 1817 to 1826 Edmund Bläss was mayor of Viernheim.

In the 1st and 2nd electoral periods (1820-1824) Edmund Bläss was a member of the second chamber of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse. In the state estates he represented the constituency of Starkenburg 6 / Lorsch .
