Eugene Franck

Eugen Heinrich Franck , also Eugen Heinrich Frank (born May 8, 1832 in Steinheim am Main , † August 19, 1893 in Munich ) was a German judge and politician ( center ).

Life

Eugen Franck was the son of the Privy Councilor of State Heinrich Franck (1805–1878) and his wife Margarethe nee Werle (* 1804). Franck, who was a Catholic denomination, married Elisabeth Sophie Marie, née Fecher (* 1844), on September 22, 1864.

Franck studied law in Giessen and Heidelberg from the winter semester of 1849/50 and completed his studies with a doctorate to become a Dr. jur. from. In Giessen he was a member of the Corps Teutonia , in Heidelberg of the Corps Rhenania . In 1865 he became a substitute for the Chief Public Prosecutor at the Darmstadt court and in 1869 he became a court judge there. From 1879 he was a higher regional judge at the higher regional court in Darmstadt .

From 1872 to 1893 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse . He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 8 / Lorsch / Heppenheim and was considered the spiritual leader of the Hessian center group.
