Ferdinand Kirnberger

Ferdinand Kirnberger (born January 12, 1875 in Mainz , † June 25, 1962 in Darmstadt ) was a Hessian politician ( center ) and Minister of the People's State of Hesse .

education and profession

Ferdinand Kirnberger was the son of the physician Josef Theodor and Caroline Kirnberger. After graduating from high school, he studied law at the universities of Freiburg im Breisgau , Berlin and Giessen . After the two state exams, he works in the civil service. After the First World War he was promoted to senior government councilor and later to ministerial councilor.

In 1949 he became President of the Darmstadt Administrative Court .

politics

Ferdinand Kirnberger was a member of the Center Party. Under President Carl Ulrich , Kirnberger joined the Hessian cabinet on July 21, 1927 as Minister of the Interior . From February 14, 1928 to March 13, 1933 he was Minister of Finance and Justice under Bernhard Adelung .

When the Nazis came to power, he lost his post and was retired.

After the war, Kirnberger was one of the founders of the Darmstadt CDU , but no longer held any offices there.

Others

Ferdinand Kirnberger was a founding member of the Darmstadt Society for Christian-Jewish Cooperation in 1954 . Since 1924 he was an honorary member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. Rheinpfalz Darmstadt.
