Home Invasion - This House Is Mine (Original Title: Foreclosed ) is an American thriller from the film company The Asylum from 2013. It was directed by Nick Lyon and the screenplay was written by Geoff Meed . The main roles are Marlee Matlin , James Denton , Jamie Kennedy and Alex Frnka .

action

The Turner family can buy a seized house for a very good price. After a short time, Forrest Hayes, the son of the deceased previous owner, appears and presents himself as the owner of "his" house. The local sheriff orders the eviction, as the Turners are the new, legal owners. In the meantime, Hayes has holed up in a bunker in the house, from which he observes the family with cameras and chats with his daughter Christine under a false identity.

With the daughter hostage, he blackmailed her mother Ally into giving up the house. He tries to blow up the house and with him the two women. Hayes wants to create the appearance of a relationship act. Ally manages to free herself and can briefly calm him down with his stun gun. When the men storm into the house, he automatically locks the doors. The group escapes through the bunker into the open. Hayes turns on the ignition and the house explodes.

criticism

In a review on Sofahelden.com , the film is described as “a (sub) average thriller in the C-Movie category”, which captivates more through “its numerous logic gaps than through its individuality”. It is also said that the "moderately well acting actors" would "fit perfectly with the confused story", which is "poorly staged by meaningless dialogues and applied psychological sections".
