Homertweg

The Homertweg (also called Homertroute ) is a 63.5 km long hiking trail in the Sauerland in the Olpe district and in the Hochsauerlandkreis , North Rhine-Westphalia .

The path connects the Ruhrhöhenweg with the Rothaarsteig . It is named after Homert in the Lennegebirge , who gave its name to the Homert Nature Park , and can be tackled in around three daily stages. The waymark is a white "H", which is surrounded by a white diamond on a black background.

The Homertweg begins in the Ruhr valley near Arnsberg and leads in a southerly direction, for example through the municipality of Eslohe (e.g. Wenholthausen ) and through the Saalhauser Berge as well as through the municipality of Lennestadt (e.g. Saalhausen ) to the Rhine-Weser -Turm , which stands in the municipality of Kirchhundems on the ridge of the Rothaargebirge . It runs through the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge nature reserve .
