Homocodon is a genus of plants belonging to the bellflower family(Campanulaceae). It includes two types that are common in southern China .
features
The homocodon species are annual herbaceous plants . The alternate, stalked leaves are simple and the edges are notched. The flowers sit on crowded, leafy side branches. The hermaphrodite flowers are fivefold. The sepals are spiky-toothed. The ovary is dreifächrig and the pen has three scars . The pollen has three to four pores ("porat"). The capsule fruit opens through pores or irregular slits.
