Honoré Gabriel Martial Sausse (born January 31, 1891 in Toulon , France , † 1936 ) was a French sculptor .

Life

Honoré Sausse was the son of a master carpenter and a student of Jules-Félix Coutan .

From 1911 he exhibited in Paris at the Salon of the Société des Artistes Français , of which he was a member. Here he was awarded a bronze medal in 1930.

Sausse lived in Paris at 5, rue de Seine. On May 19, 1917 he married J. Louise Bastiien in Neufchâteau (Vosges) .

Sausse's work includes memorials for the cities of Enghien-les-Bains ( aux heros of the Guerre mondial 1914–1918 , 1922) and Toulon ( Monument aux morts de la Première Guerre mondiale , 1925) as well as busts of Frédéric Mistral and Michel Maurice-Bokanowski . He also made statuettes in the Art Deco style , including:
