Horacio Romo

Horacio Romo is an Argentine bandoneonist and tango musician.

Romo had bandoneon lessons from Marcos Madrigal and Julio Pane from the age of nine . He worked u. a. with Julio Iglesias and Lalo Schifrin and accompanied the singers Roberto Goyeneche and Hugo Marcel . He has performed with the orchestras of Julián Plaza , Horacio Salgán , Antonio Agri , Walter Ríos , Atilio Stampone and Raúl Garello and performed Astor Piazzolla's bandoneon concert with the Oregon Symphonic Orchestra , the Los Angeles Symphonic Orchestra , the London Philharomic Orchestra and the Auckland and Auckland Symphony Orchestras Lima on.

Since 1996 he has been the bandoneonist of Cristian Zárate Sexteto , with whom he a. a. recorded the CD Evolución Tango . He is also a member of the Quinteto de la Fundación Piazzolla , the Selección Nacional de Tango , the Quinteto de José Colángelo and the ensemble of Leopoldo Federico and Juan de Dios Filiberto as well as the director and first bandoneonist of the Sexteto Mayor . He successfully released his own album Timeless Tango .
