Horst Albert Wilhelm Bösing (born September 10, 1954 ) is a German musician, composer and producer.

Life

Bösing had his musical beginnings with Hermann Lammers Meyer , Carl Carlton and Kralle Krawinkel in country and rock bands. At first he played in the band Emsland Hillbillies (1974 to 1977) and until 1981 in top 40 bands. Between 1974 and 1977 Bösing studied music and physics teaching at the University of Oldenburg , where he met Stephan Remmler and Kralle Krawinkel during his time as a tutor for electronic music and recording studio technology .

This was followed in 1977 by sessions with Krawinkel and Remmler, from which the band Wind developed around 1980. Horst Bösing got out because of an offer from Micky Kaiser , the former singer and bassist of the bands Just Us , Cravinkel , and Peter Behrens (drummer) got in at Wind. The band around Micky Kaiser broke up after half a year. Wind has been renamed Trio . Until 1986, Bösing only devoted himself to studying biology .

From 1988 to 1990 he played keyboards and piano in the East Frisian folk group Laway around Gerd Brandt. During this time he met the folk musician, publisher and television producer Peter Braukmann , who helped him to play the music for the HR3 comedy series “ Queens Palace ” (1989 to 1990). Horst Bösing also played with Ulli Möhring's country rock band Autumn Leaves from 1992 to 1996 and again with Laway from 2003 to 2005, where he was a guest musician and co-producer on their CDs.

Horst Bösing had dealt with meditation , Eastern philosophy and spiritual topics since the 1980s . Around 1987 he came across the works of Joachim-Ernst Berendt through the psychologist Maria-Luise Hilf . Inspired by this, he began composing and producing meditative and spiritual music himself, for which he found a publisher and distributor in 1991. The Polish jazz flutist and composer Krzysztof Zgraja plays on some of the CDs . By 2005 this development resulted in around 50 CDs with meditative and spiritual music, world music and chill out . Bösing contacted Joachim-Ernst Berendt in 1992, attended his last seminars on hearing in Switzerland and Gomera, became his authorized student and in 1998 produced Berendt's last CD, “Soul Landscapes”. Further planned productions failed because Berendt died in an accident in February 2000. For the 1st Lower Saxony State Garden Show in Bad Zwischenahn in 2002, Horst Bösing composed and produced the music of the islands of sound and a double album entitled “Sound poetry and color spaces”. His most successful albums "Dance in the Light" and "Tai Chi - Yoga Qi - Gong" were each sold around 100,000 times. By 2010, Neptun Media GmbH had sold around 500,000 sound carriers under Horst Bösing's pseudonym "THORS".

Since spring 2011, the albums of the “THORS” series have also been offered for download from Amazon, iTunes and Musicload through the distributor “Neptun Media GmbH”. In the summer of 2012 Horst Bösing reactivated his label MIND MUSIC EAR- & HEAR COMPANY (distribution: Believe Digital ).
