Horst Fust
Horst Fust (born June 22, 1930 in Berlin , German Reich ; † August 26, 2003 in Bendestorf , Lower Saxony ) was a German journalist . Fust was editor- in- chief of the BILD newspaper for seven years .
Career
Horst Fust (nickname Hotte ) started working for the Berliner Zeitung from 1954 after studying German , history and sociology . After further intermediate stops, u. a. at Die Welt , Quick and Neue Ruhr-Zeitung , he worked for BILD for over 24 years , where he became head of politics at the age of 29. From 1981 to 1988 he was the editor-in-chief of the Springer newspaper. During his time as editor-in-chief, the paper achieved the highest circulation figures in the company's history. In August 2003 Horst Fust died in Bendestorf in Lower Saxony at the age of 73.
