Horst Irretier

Horst Irretier (born June 10, 1949 in Bremen ; † February 6, 2016 ) was a German engineer and university professor for mechanics and machine dynamics at the University of Kassel .

Life

Irretier attended elementary school from 1955 to 1959 , then grammar school until 1967 . From 1967 to 1969 he made the military service and then attended the University of Hannover , a mechanical engineering degree to which he successfully completed in-home testing diploma on 19 March 1974 with the. He then worked as a research assistant at the University of Hanover until he was awarded a Dr.-Ing. received his doctorate . From then on, he continued to work as a senior engineer at the Institute for Mechanics at the University of Hanover, until he was appointed professor for mechanics and machine dynamics at the University of Kassel in 1984. In 2012 Irretier retired.

Irretier taught, researched and published on vibration technology, rotor and machine dynamics and experimental modal analysis .

In spring 1987 he was visiting professor at the Indian Institute of Technology , Madras in India , and in spring 1992 visiting professor at the Institut national des sciences appliquées de Lyon in France .
