Horst Voigt (born May 5, 1933 in Schöningen ) is a former German politician ( SPD ).

Life

The Lower Saxony Ministry of the Interior and the Braunschweig district government marked the beginning of his career. When a community director was advertised for the community of Harlingerode, which had a population of around 6,000 at the time , he was ultimately able to prevail as an applicant. The mayor and party comrade Wilhelm Baumgarten noticed him because of his ambition and his ability to procure funding in the right places for the industrial community located in the edge of the zone and changing due to mining.

In 1975, Voigt was elected city director by the City Council of Bad Harzburg without a dissenting vote in the absence of the CDU parliamentary group . In this position he was particularly influential for his commitment to establishing town twinning with Port-Louis ( Brittany ) and Szklarska Poręba (Schreiberhau).

Horst Voigt currently lives in Göttingerode .
