Horst Waclawiak (born January 1, 1938 ) is a former German football player .
Career
Waclawiak began his career in 1957 at BFC Alemannia 90 , where he was part of the regular staff at the age of 18 and played 19 of 22 games (four goals). But even he could not prevent relegation from the league . After the direct re-promotion was missed, Waclawiak switched to local rivals Wacker 04 . There he fought for a regular place and ended the season three times in a row in a safe midfield.
In 1962, Hertha BSC noticed him and signed Waclawiak. In the old lady he became a regular player straight away and played 25 of 27 games in the Oberliga Berlin , which was completed as a champion. In the resulting final round of the German championship in 1963 , Waclawiak played all six preliminary round matches and scored a goal in the 3-6 against 1. FC Cologne . Since the other games did not go much better and could only be scored against 1. FC Kaiserslautern , Hertha was eliminated in the preliminary round.
In the newly founded Bundesliga , the blue-whites managed to stay up in 1963/64 with a bang. However, Waclawiak had lost his regular place and only played ten times, scoring four goals. In the following season it was no longer used. While the relegation could be celebrated again in terms of sport, Hertha was sentenced to relegation at the Green Table for overpaid bonuses.
In the Regionalliga Waclawiak initially had a regular place in attack. After the only loss of the season at Spandauer SV , he lost it again and was only used once in midfield. In the subsequent round of promotion to the Bundesliga , the Berliners failed, among other things, Fortuna Düsseldorf and FK Pirmasens . Waclawiak only participated in the 3-2 win over Düsseldorf.
Hertha also dominated the regional league in 1966/67 . But failed again quite miserably in the promotion round . Waclawiak had long since ceased to play a role and moved to Berliner SV 92 , also Regionalliga Berlin , in which he took part in 22 of 30 games and was able to celebrate relegation at the end of the season. He then ended his active career.
