Horst Weiß (painter)
Horst Weiss , also (artist and signature name) Horst Weiss , (* 1953 in Oberstdorf ) is a surrealist German painter.
Life
After attending elementary school and high school , Weiss passed his Abitur in 1973 . He passed the entrance exam for the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich , but only studied there for 1 semester . From 1973 to 1979 he continued to study in Munich, but in the courses English and Romance languages . Since the school year 1981 he has been a teacher at the Gertrud-von-le-Fort-Gymnasium Oberstdorf , meanwhile also deputy headmaster.
Horst Weiß has been artistically active since 1970. He came to art as an autodidact . He worked with the Young Oberallgäu artists , and later with the experts . With these two groups he had his first exhibitions in the districts of Oberallgäu (Oberstdorf, Sonthofen ) and Kempten (Allgäu) . Since 1999, Weiß has been a member of the Professional Association of Visual Artists Schwaben Süd eV. Purchases of his works can be found in the Oberallgäu district, in the city of Marktoberdorf and Kempten, and in Markt Oberstdorf.
