House of the Butcher (OT: Butcher House ) is an American horror film directed by Christopher Hutson from 2006.

action

Strange things happened at Arthur Kingston's slaughterhouse in the 1960s. A butcher ran amok and killed two colleagues and the owner of the factory. Allegedly there was an Aztec curse on the slaughterhouse and only with the help of an incantation could the spirit be dispelled.

Tyler Williams is supposed to investigate the slaughterhouse on behalf of his father, a property owner, for a fee. He makes his way there with his friends Annie, Jamie, Karla, Blake and Josh. At first, the investigation is unspectacular. But when they enter the basement, the actual slaughterhouse, and pull an old butcher's ax out of the wall, the butcher's spirit comes to life. He haunts the teenagers and kills everyone but Annie and Tyler. But Tyler is obsessed, which can be recognized by an Aztec symbol on his hand. He begs Annie to kill him, which she does after some hesitation. Meanwhile, James Kingston, son of the former owner, appears on the scene. He lets Annie in on the secrets and the two try to banish the ghost. After the butcher also kills James, Annie is able to lift the curse by knocking the cleaver back into the wall.

Annie then takes a shower at a friend's house when the symbol appears on her hand.
